Elizabeth Rodriguez is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC Associate) under the supervision of Angela Hesselbrock, M.Ed., LPC-S. Elizabeth is working towards attaining her full licensure in Texas. She earned her Master of Education degree in Counseling from the University of Houston (Main Campus), and Bachelor of Science in Psychology degree from the University of Houston (Main Campus).
Elizabeth’s clinical experiences include working with adolescents, adults, and groups dealing with various mental health concerns and life transitions. In her work with each client, Elizabeth emphasizes building a therapeutic relationship that emphasizes collaboration and trust. She considers her role as providing support to the client as they explore their feelings, develop healthy cognitions, recognize their inner strengths, and establish personal goals. Elizabeth’s focus is on the client as the expert of their own life journey. Elizabeth also speaks Spanish and is open to providing counseling in client’s preferred language.
In her spare time, Elizabeth enjoys spending time with her family and her husband, cooking, swimming, and reading works of fiction and mystery. She also enjoys keeping up-to-date on evidence-based counseling practices by reading peer-reviewed articles, attending training, and reading the Counseling Today magazine. As part of the Renewed Hope Counseling Center Team, Elizabeth looks forward to hearing about you and your life journey! She will enjoy working together with you on developing greater clarity, self-awareness, self-love, and self-responsibility.

My approach to therapy
Elizabeth utilizes cognitive behavioral theory and person-centered theory to assist clients in developing healthy ways of coping with life. Her passion lies in working with adolescents and adults who are navigating challenges of anxiety, depression, trauma (abuse, neglect, abandonment, etc.), grief, self-doubt, life transitions (pregnancy, job transition, school transition, etc.), stressors, and relationships. Elizabeth also speaks Spanish and is open to providing counseling in client’s preferred language.
