So you graduated now what!! I know this process can ignite a variety of emotions. As an associate you may be struggling to find a site to obtain your hours, or maybe you don't know where to get started but you know you need a supervisor. I am here to help. Some common questions you may have:

What do I do?

Contact me to schedule an interview. I know this sounds formal however it is important for you and I to make sure it is a good fit for both of us. The interview process allows us to get to know each other and provide some insight into expectations that I have of supervisee's and what supervisee's can expect from me. We will complete the necessary paperwork and you will send it into the board.

How much is this going to cost me?

You have a couple of options. You may pay for supervision ($100 per supervision or $320 if paid monthly) and not work at Renewed Hope Counseling Center, PLLC or you may work and see clients at Renewed Hope Counseling Center, PLLC and supervision is included in the compensation package along with a requirement of being able to see at least 15 clients a week). These options are discussed further during the interview.

Where do I even start with paperwork?

You'll need to have a supervisor contract in place in order to submit your paperwork for your license. (see link: https://www.bhec.texas.gov/texas-state-board-of-examiners-of-professional-counselors/applying-for-a-license/index.html#lpc-as) Once the contract is signed and submitted we wait until the board approves your license. Then you can start seeing clients and accumulating your hours.
